Vashu Bhagnani’s Emotional Outburst: ‘I’d Jump 22 Floors for David Dhawan, But It Has to Be Ethical’

In a virtual press conference from Dubai, veteran producer Vashu Bhagnani opened up about his ongoing legal battle with Ramesh Taurani of Tips regarding the film 'Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai'. The movie, starring Varun Dhawan and directed by David Dhawan, has sparked a dispute that Vashu believes could have been avoided.

Vashu, known for his emotional and passionate nature, shared his deep-rooted connection with the Dhawan family. He expressed his disappointment, stating, 'After taking legal action, I have hurt myself. David ji, Kumar ji, and Ramesh ji are like family to me. I was not contacted, and they didn't show me the film before release.'

The producer highlighted the ethical dilemma, emphasizing that David Dhawan should have intervened. 'Ramesh Taurani is a businessman, but David Dhawan should have had some sense. If David ji had refused, Ramesh ji couldn't have done much. He should have informed me about using the songs or asked for an NOC.' Vashu added.

Vashu's loyalty to David Dhawan is evident, as he revealed, 'I would jump from 22 floors for David ji, but it has to be for an ethical cause. I have always supported him, even when Ramesh ji was embroiled in a murder case.'

The producer's frustration is palpable as he feels sidelined by his former associates. He shared, 'My family has questioned my actions, but I can't understand how they can take my movie and song. There are so many other songs they could have used.'

Despite the legal dispute, Vashu remains optimistic about resolving the issue. 'David ji, Ramesh ji, and I can solve this matter quickly. I don't want to cause any delays or losses. We can find a solution that respects everyone's interests.'
