US-Israel War on Iran: 200 American Troops Wounded
The US military has confirmed that approximately 200 American troops have been wounded in the ongoing US-Israeli war on Iran, with 13 service members tragically losing their lives.
US Central Command spokesperson, Cpt Tim Hawkins, revealed that the majority of these injuries are minor, and 180 troops have already returned to duty. However, the specific nature of the injuries and their causes remain undisclosed.
ABC News, citing an anonymous US official, reported that the injuries included burns, shrapnel wounds, and traumatic brain injuries (TBIs). Among the 200 injured, at least 10 military personnel are said to have sustained serious wounds.
The conflict has taken a heavy toll on both sides. Six US service members perished in a plane crash in western Iraq, while six more were killed in an Iranian drone strike on a Kuwaiti port. Additionally, one US service member died after being wounded in an attack on the Prince Sultan airbase in Saudi Arabia.
The Iranian ambassador to the UN reported that over 1,300 Iranians have lost their lives, along with hundreds of civilians in Lebanon and 15 people in Israel.
US President Donald Trump's statements on the conflict have been contradictory. He has both urged western allies to join the war to protect the Strait of Hormuz, citing concerns about global oil disruption, and suggested that the US should not intervene due to its own oil reserves.
