Siddharth Gupta’s Spiritual Journey Behind Krishnavataram
Actor Siddharth Gupta has spoken about the unique preparation process behind his portrayal of Lord Krishna in the film Krishnavataram. Unlike most actors who watch previous screen adaptations of the deity, Siddharth chose to delve into spiritual texts instead.
According to Siddharth, reading sacred Hindu scriptures became an integral part of his daily routine during the making of the film. He would read the Bhagavad Gita and the Bhagavata Purana every day, both during the day and before sleeping. This daily practice transformed his understanding of Lord Krishna, making it a deeply meaningful experience for him.
Krishnavataram, directed by Hardik Gajjar, is based on the life and legacy of Lord Krishna. The film has received praise for its storytelling, scale, and devotional themes, generating conversations among audiences. Apart from Siddharth, the film also stars Sanskruti Jayana as Satyabhama, Sushmitha Bhatt as Radha, and Nivaashiyni Krishnan as Rukmini.
As Krishnavataram continues to gain attention among moviegoers and devotees, the film has also been declared tax-free in Uttar Pradesh by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. This move has added further momentum to its theatrical run, with the film envisioned as the first chapter of a larger three-part cinematic franchise.
