Israel-Hezbollah Conflict Escalates: Airstrikes on Beirut Suburbs

In a dramatic development, Israel has carried out airstrikes on the southern suburbs of Beirut, intensifying its war with Hezbollah. The ongoing skirmishes have complicated US-Iran negotiations, as Iran insists on Lebanon's inclusion in a broader ceasefire agreement. US President Donald Trump, in a recent interview, stated that he was not demanding Lebanon's inclusion but hinted at a potential military escalation if a deal was not reached soon.

Prior to the Beirut strikes, Israel issued an evacuation order for most of Tyre, a major city in southern Lebanon, citing imminent strikes on Hezbollah infrastructure. The Lebanese army, which is not a party to the conflict, has also suffered casualties, with two soldiers and an army captain killed in an Israeli strike on their vehicle.
