Drishyam 3: Worldwide Release Across 66 Countries

The countdown is on for the release of 'Drishyam 3', the much-awaited Malayalam film starring Mohanlal, which is set to hit the screens on May 21. The film has generated immense excitement, thanks to the franchise's reputation, its compelling subject matter, and the star power of Mohanlal.

In a strategic move, Kumar Mangat Pathak and Abhishek Pathak's Panorama Studios will distribute the film outside Kerala, ensuring a wide reach. According to exclusive information obtained by Bollywood Hungama, the studio has implemented an extensive release strategy.

A trade source revealed to Bollywood Hungama, "'Drishyam 3' will be shown in approximately 1200 cinemas across Kerala and the rest of India. The film will be available in its original Malayalam version, as well as dubbed versions in Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada. The producers and Panorama Studios have recognized the film's enormous potential and are committed to maximizing its audience."

The source also disclosed, "Internationally, the film is poised for an even larger release, with over 1500 screens in 66 countries. In total, 'Drishyam 3' will have a worldwide release on approximately 2700 screens."

With these impressive figures, 'Drishyam 3' is set to become one of the biggest releases in the history of Malayalam cinema, including both original and dubbed versions. Advance booking has been phenomenal, with the film already selling tickets worth around Rs. 30 crores and aiming for the Rs. 35 crore mark before its release.

Trade analysts predict a thunderous opening, with 'Drishyam 3' expected to achieve one of the biggest openings ever for a Malayalam film, second only to the Mohanlal-Prithviraj Sukumaran blockbuster 'L2 Empuraan' (2025).

The film stars Mohanlal, Meena, Ansiba Hassan, Esther Anil, Asha Sharath, and others. Written and directed by Jeethu Joseph and produced by Antony Perumbavoor, 'Drishyam 3' is the third installment in the successful franchise. The first film, 'Drishyam', released in 2013 and became the highest-grossing Malayalam film at the time. The second part, 'Drishyam 2', premiered directly on Amazon Prime Video in 2021 due to COVID-19 restrictions and received widespread acclaim.
