Allu Arjun Takes Legal Action Against AI Misuse and Unauthorized Merchandise

In a significant move, Allu Arjun has approached the Delhi High Court to protect his identity from unauthorized exploitation. The actor's legal team, led by senior advocate Swathi Sukumar, presented evidence of various instances where his likeness was allegedly used without consent. This includes an AI-powered application, 'Fake Call Pushpa', which allows users to interact with an AI-generated version of the actor, potentially enabling fraudulent activities.

The court, presided over by Justice Tushar Rao Gedela, heard the case and was informed that one of the defendants, Frankly Retail Private Limited, was merely an intermediary platform. The disputed link has since been removed after receiving the legal notice.

The suit also addresses concerns beyond digital misuse, targeting unauthorized commercial products bearing Allu Arjun's identity. The actor has taken a strong stance against any attempt to monetize his fame without permission, whether through merchandise or online tools.

The Delhi High Court has been actively addressing similar cases involving celebrities' rights. Other prominent personalities who have sought legal protection include Mohanlal, Jubin Nautiyal, Pawan Kalyan, and Salman Khan, among others. This trend reflects the growing concern over deepfakes, AI-generated impersonation, and the unauthorized use of celebrity branding.
