Trump’s Name to Adorn Palm Beach Airport in Major Renaming Move

In a significant development, Florida's governor Ron DeSantis has signed a bill renaming the Palm Beach International Airport to the President Donald J. Trump International Airport. This move follows a series of buildings, institutions, government programs, and currency bearing the former US President's name.

The airport name change is set to take effect on 1 July, pending approval from the Federal Aviation Administration. DeSantis also worked last year to secure a parcel of land in Miami for Trump's presidential library, which will feature a towering mirrored skyscraper emblazoned with Trump's name and the American flag.

This renaming move is part of a broader trend of buildings, institutions, and even currency being named after Trump. The former President has also seen his name affixed to a planned class of Navy warships, a visa program for wealthy foreigners, and federal savings accounts for children.

The White House has confirmed that Trump raised the idea of dropping his hold on funding for a New York Hudson River tunnel project in exchange for Democratic senator Chuck Schumer supporting the renaming of Washington Dulles airport and New York Penn Station after Trump.
