Stalker’s Fake Tinder Profile: A Chilling Tale of Online Deception

Stalker’s Elaborate Scheme Unveiled

In a chilling case of online deception, a man’s elaborate stalking scheme has been brought to light. Asad Hussain, a 36-year-old from Cheadle, Greater Manchester, created a fake Tinder profile in his ex-partner’s name, inviting random men to her home in Cheshire.

The victim, who had been in a brief relationship with Hussain, was unaware of his sinister plan until strangers started showing up at her doorstep.

A Disturbing Stalking Case

PC Keith Terrill, a stalking investigator, described the case as “one of the most disturbing” Cheshire Constabulary has ever dealt with. Hussain’s actions went beyond violating the victim’s privacy; he put her and her children’s safety at risk.

The police investigation revealed that Hussain used three phones to carry out his plan. He created a fake alias, Mick Renney, to contact the victim on social media and later set up the Tinder profile using her personal details.

Unraveling the Web of Deception

The breakthrough came when police reviewed the victim’s doorbell footage, identifying Hussain’s white Audi R8. Despite his efforts to conceal his identity, detectives linked him to the phones through telecoms inquiries.

Hussain’s instructions to the men escalated, with some being told the victim wanted to engage in a ‘rape fantasy’. The true extent of the danger became evident when one man broke a glass panel at the victim’s home, and another entered while she was out, leaving her teenage daughter alone upstairs.

Justice Served

Hussain was found guilty of stalking, assault, and failing to comply with an order to provide passcodes to his devices. He was sentenced to eight years in prison.

This case serves as a stark reminder of the potential dangers of online dating and the importance of vigilance. It also highlights the dedication of police investigators in bringing cybercriminals to justice.
