Saif Ali Khan’s ‘Kartavya’ Journey: A Collaboration with Shah Rukh Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment

The iconic duo of Saif Ali Khan and Shah Rukh Khan, who charmed audiences in 'Kal Ho Naa Ho', are set to reunite, albeit in a different capacity. This time, Saif Ali Khan is headlining 'Kartavya', a film produced by Shah Rukh Khan's esteemed production banner, Red Chillies Entertainment.

At the trailer launch of 'Kartavya', Saif Ali Khan shared his experience of working with SRK's production house. He revealed that it was a brief conversation with Shah Rukh Khan that led to his involvement in the project. Khan expressed his admiration for SRK, stating that he looks up to him in numerous ways.

'I had a very short conversation with Shah Rukh Khan. I have had a lovely and long association with him,' Khan revealed. He further added, 'He told me there's a lovely script, and I'd like you to hear it and do the film.'

Khan's respect for SRK's production style was evident as he praised the producer's approach. He mentioned that Shah Rukh Khan's absence on the sets allowed the director to have creative freedom, which is a testament to SRK's trust in the team.

'He never came on set because I believe some very good producers believe in allowing the director to operate freely,' Khan explained. This approach, he believes, contributed to the film's success.

'Kartavya' also stars Rasika Dugal, Sanjay Mishra, and Zakir Hussain, and is directed by Pulkit. The film is set to premiere on Netflix on May 15, offering viewers a thrilling cinematic experience.
