A soldier, part of the esteemed King's Troop Royal Horse Artillery, lost their life after a fall from their horse on Friday evening. The soldier sustained serious injuries and, despite immediate medical attention, passed away at the scene.

Thames Valley Police are treating the death as unexplained but not suspicious. They are appealing to the public for any information or material that could shed light on this sad event.

Ch Supt Michael Loebenberg expressed condolences to the soldier's family and the military community. He assured the public that they are working diligently with various authorities, including the Ministry of Defence and the Defence Accident Investigation Branch, to gather information and determine the cause of the incident.

The show's organizers, HPower, have decided to continue with the event while omitting the King's Troop Royal Horse Artillery display as a mark of respect. Jo Peck, HPower's event director, extended sympathies to the soldier's family.

King Charles has also expressed his shock and sadness over the news. The Palace spokesperson stated that the King will personally reach out to the soldier's family to offer his condolences.

As the military and police authorities work together to investigate, the nation's thoughts are with the soldier's family and the entire military community during this challenging time.
