Namashi Chakraborty’s Films Set for Nationwide Release

Namashi Chakraborty is on the cusp of a major career milestone as two of his films are set to captivate audiences on May 15, 2026. While his upcoming film, 'Aakhri Sawal', is poised for a nationwide theatrical release, his other project, 'The Bengal Files', is making headlines for its release in West Bengal, following months of anticipation and political discourse.

'The Bengal Files', directed by Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri, had originally released across India on September 5, 2025, but West Bengal cinemas were notably absent from its initial rollout. However, with recent political changes in the state and the BJP's electoral success, the film is now scheduled to debut in Bengal cinemas this Friday.

In an interview with NDTV, Namashi shared his relief and excitement about the film's upcoming release in West Bengal. He reminisced about the challenges the team faced during promotional events last year, recalling, 'We were almost shooed out of the event.' This experience, he believes, highlighted the delicate political climate in West Bengal at the time.

Namashi's optimism shines through as he hopes that the film's release will transcend religious and communal boundaries. He emphasizes, 'The truth is just the truth,' encouraging audiences across West Bengal to embrace the film's message.

The film's release in West Bengal has reignited online discussions, as it had previously sparked conversations and debates in other parts of the country. Meanwhile, Namashi is also eagerly anticipating the release of 'Aakhri Sawal', starring Sanjay Dutt, Amit Sadh, and Neetu Chandra, which promises to be a nationwide cinematic event.
