Kangana Ranaut Recalls 26/11 Attacks: ‘Should We Party or Go Home?’
At the trailer launch of 'Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata', a film based on the 2008 Mumbai terror attacks, Kangana Ranaut reminisced about the night of November 26, 2008, and the difficult choices she and her friends faced.
The event, held at PVR Icon in Versova, Mumbai, brought together the film's cast and crew, including Kangana Ranaut, Girija Oak, Smita Tambe, Esha Dey, director Manoj Tapadia, and producers Jayantilal Gada and Shailesh R Singh. When asked about their experiences during the 26/11 attacks, the team shared their unique perspectives.
Kangana Ranaut, known for her bold and outspoken nature, revealed a lighthearted yet thought-provoking anecdote. She recalled being at a party hosted by her friend Shahana Goswami, a fellow struggler in the Vishesh Films camp, when Mahesh Bhatt arrived with breaking news. Bhatt Saab, as Ranaut affectionately calls him, urged them to turn on the TV, where they witnessed the unfolding terror attacks in their city.
The group, consisting of 20-25 people, was faced with a dilemma. Should they continue partying or head home? Ranaut humorously recalled asking Shahana for guidance, wondering if they should leave or carry on with their celebrations. Bhatt Saab's advice was clear: it was time to leave.
