K-pop Extravaganza in Mumbai: HYBE INDIA’s Pop-Up Park Draws Huge Crowds
HYBE INDIA's recent initiative in Mumbai has ignited a K-pop fever among fans and aspiring artists alike. The company's Pop-Up Park, held at Inorbit Mall on May 9 and 10, was a vibrant celebration of K-pop culture, attracting a massive turnout.
The event was a unique blend of entertainment and talent scouting, coinciding with HYBE INDIA's global talent search. Aspiring participants had the opportunity to showcase their skills in singing, dancing, and rap, with the promise of evaluations by HYBE's international experts.
The Pop-Up Park offered more than just auditions. It was a festival of interactive experiences, live music, and fan engagement activities. K-pop enthusiasts were treated to DJ sets by artists like Kayan, Outstation, and Shria Rao, and participated in various activities such as K-pop DJ parties, quizzes, and Random Play Dance segments powered by Dance Planet from South Korea.
A standout feature was the introduction of the Weverse Fan Letter Zone, allowing fans to connect with the HYBE ecosystem and its artists on a more personal level. This immersive experience contributed to the event's overall atmosphere, making it a memorable occasion for attendees.
The venue also hosted several brand collaborations, including H&M, Kia India, Nongshim, Samsung India, and Shoppers Stop, offering a diverse range of experiences. From food counters and noodle bars to glitter stations and photo booths, the event catered to various interests.
Additionally, visitors interested in a music career could interact with casting directors from HYBE INDIA, gaining valuable insights into the audition process and receiving guidance for future rounds.
HYBE INDIA's Mumbai Pop-Up Park and auditions are part of a broader global tour, open to female participants born between 2005 and 2011. The company's commitment to discovering emerging talent in India and the Indian diaspora is evident, with online auditions also available until July 31 for those unable to attend in person.
