Eurovision 2026 Set to Shine in Vienna
The 70th Eurovision Song Contest is scheduled to take place in Vienna, Austria, in May 2026. The contest will feature 35 entrants, including the UK's representative, electronic music artist and tech creator Look Mum No Computer, who will perform the song Eins, Zwei, Drei. The Eurovision Song Contest is an annual televised competition organised by the European Broadcasting Union (EBU), with songs required to be original and no more than three minutes long.
The contest has been marred by controversy in recent years, with several countries boycotting the 2026 contest over Israel's participation. The EBU has consistently resisted calls for Israel to be excluded, but has changed the voting rules for the 2026 contest to limit the influence of governments on the results. The grand final of the contest will take place in the Wiener Stadthalle in Vienna on Saturday, 16 May, and will be broadcast live on TV and online.
Look Mum No Computer, a solo artist and songwriter, has expressed his excitement at representing the UK in the contest. His song, Eins, Zwei, Drei, will be released on Friday, 6 March, and will receive its first radio play on the Scott Mills Breakfast Show on BBC Radio 2 and BBC Sounds. The singer-songwriter has his own museum in Ramsgate, which features a vintage Game Boy programmed to play a 100-year-old church organ.
