Heathrow Airport is gearing up for a significant development with the green light to charge airlines more for its services. The aviation regulator’s decision allows the airport to recover up to £320m spent on the initial stages of its third runway project.

This move is set to impact ticket prices, with an estimated increase of 15p per passenger in 2028, potentially doubling in subsequent years.
