Bollywood Power Couple Clarifies Marriage Remarks

Actor Rakul Preet Singh has responded to the buzz surrounding her husband Jackky Bhagnani's recent remark describing their marriage as a 'situationship.' Addressing the discussion through an Instagram Stories note, Rakul clarified that the comment was taken out of context and stressed the importance of understanding the full conversation before drawing conclusions.

Her response came after Jackky Bhagnani's statement during an interaction with the YouTube channel Zingabad began circulating widely online. In the interview, Bhagnani spoke about his relationship with Rakul and said that although they are married, their bond feels like a situationship in the sense that they are secure, exclusive, and emotionally independent individuals who are not relying on each other to fill personal gaps.

Reacting to the way the remark was interpreted across platforms, Rakul wrote that she and her husband had shared a laugh about how a single line from an hour-long conversation became the focus of headlines. Her note read, 'We had a great laugh today about how one line from an hour-long conversation can suddenly become the headline. Funny… until it’s not. Context matters. Nuance matters. Conversation deserve better than being reduced to clickbait. Maybe it’s time platforms take a little more responsibility for the narratives they create.'

The couple had been in a relationship for nearly three years before getting married on February 21, 2024, in Goa. Since then, they have occasionally spoken about their partnership in interviews.
